My name is Amy Burnside and I am the owner of Be Balanced Counseling and Clinical Supervisor to other therapists completing their residency training.
I am certified in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which I use to help clients deal with big and small traumas/stressors they have experienced in their past or are currently experiencing. I also use IFS (Internal Family System) and Mindfulness based cognitive-behavioral interventions (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)). If you ever feel like one part of you thinks and acts one way and another part has a different response I can help you integrate these parts with IFS, a very powerful, gentle, and transformative approach.
I believe that through increased awareness and acceptance of who you are we can identify behavioral or emotional patterns that are keeping you stuck. I have a down to earth and compassionate style and will help you identify your innate strengths.
